Fringe Tips

With loads of shows across the week in pop-up and hidden venues across the town, we’ve put together some helpful tips & tricks to help you make the most of your time in Ventnor! So whether you’re a seasoned Fringe visitor, performer or this is your first time at the festival, there is always a little bit of planning needed to make the most of what’s on offer.

01 Variety is the spice of life! 

Fringe features just about all the art disciplines you can imagine so don’t just stick to what you know, get stuck in! . Take a chance, after all variety is the spice of life, and some of the best experiences are when you’re willing to take a risk and try something new!  From theatre to stand-up, from a staggering range of live music to spoken-word there’s something for all.

02 Friends 241 Ticket Offers

03 Free Fringe 

There are plenty of free shows on offer during the Fringe, be sure to pick up a Free Fringe programme to find out whats going on at either of the two Fringe Bars or Ventnor Exchange when the festival is on.

04 Dress wisely 

Ventnor is infamous for its steep hills and winding footpaths, all things that make up its uniqueness and beauty!  Many venues are spread across the town so its best to wear sturdy footwear comfortable for walking.  Bring sun-cream – although we enjoy some of the warmest weather in Britain rain does sometimes make an appearance!

05 Book fast! 

Many of our events at the Fringe sell out in advance of the performance date, avoid disappointment and be sure to book early.  If you need help booking or more information, the Exchange Box Office can provide help whatever your taste!
