Other costs involved
Most venues will entail a hire fee and this obviously varies greatly between different spaces. However as a rough guide, most spaces charge around £1 per seat, per slot. So, for example, a 100 capacity Studio Theatre would normally be around £100 per performance. In most spaces technical time, get-ins/get outs etc, if required, are provided free of charge.
Artists are responsible for covering their own accommodation and transport costs, although the Fringe is able to offer various discounts and incentives.
A final cost to consider is advertising. While the Fringe will promote all events taking place at the Festival within the official printed programme, online and through local media, we strongly recommend sending posters/flyers/promotional material to be stocked in the Box Office and across the Festival.
